How RNJ Trading FZE handles the information you give us when you request a quotation or get in touch. Last updated 31 August 2026.
1. Who we are
RNJ Trading FZE (“RNJ Trading”, “we”, “us”) is a supplier of swimming pool and water treatment chemicals based in Ajman, United Arab Emirates. We are the controller of the personal data described in this notice. This policy covers the website at rnjtrd.com and the enquiry channels linked from it.
2. What we collect
We collect only what we need to answer a commercial enquiry:
- Details you submit through the request-for-quotation form — your name, company, email address, phone number, delivery emirate, and the products, grades and quantities you are enquiring about, together with any message you write.
- Details you give us by phone, WhatsApp or email — the same commercial information, plus anything you volunteer in the course of the conversation — water test results, site details, purchase order references.
- Basic technical information — our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) as part of delivering and securing the site.
We do not ask for, and you should not send us, special categories of personal data, payment card numbers or identity documents through the website. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
3. Why we use it
- To prepare and send you a quotation, and to answer technical questions about the products you asked about.
- To fulfil and deliver an order, including issuing the safety data sheet, the batch documentation and the transport documentation that accompany a consignment.
- To keep the commercial and dangerous-goods records that UAE tax, customs and chemical-handling regulations require us to keep.
- To follow up on an enquiry you have made. We do not add enquirers to a marketing list without asking.
Our lawful bases are the performance of a contract (or steps taken at your request before entering one), compliance with a legal obligation, and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and running the business.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing. We do rely on a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf:
- Website hosting and delivery — the site is served from a commercial cloud hosting platform, which processes server logs and delivers form submissions.
- Email and business software — enquiries arrive in, and are answered from, a hosted business email service.
- Logistics partners — where you have placed an order, the delivery contact name, address and phone number are passed to the carrier handling that consignment.
- Professional advisers and authorities — accountants, auditors, or a regulator or court where we are legally required to disclose.
Some of these providers operate servers outside the UAE. Where data is transferred abroad we rely on the provider’s contractual data protection commitments and on the transfer mechanisms permitted under the UAE PDPL.
5. Cookies and analytics
This site does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If we introduce privacy-respecting analytics or any cookie that is not strictly necessary, we will update this notice and ask for your consent before it is set.
6. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become orders: retained for up to 24 months so we can pick up the conversation if you come back to us, then deleted.
- Records relating to an actual sale: retained for the period UAE commercial, tax and dangerous-goods record-keeping rules require — currently at least five years from the end of the relevant financial year.
- Server logs: retained for a short period by our hosting provider for security and diagnostics.
7. How we protect it
The site is served over HTTPS. Access to enquiry data is limited to the staff who need it to quote and fulfil orders, on password-protected accounts. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data — which, for a B2B enquiry form, is business contact information rather than anything more sensitive.
8. Your rights
Subject to the conditions and exemptions in the applicable law, you may ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you, and give you a copy;
- correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- delete data we no longer need — noting that records tied to a completed sale must be kept for the statutory period;
- restrict or object to a particular use of your data;
- transfer your data to another provider in a portable format;
- withdraw consent where our processing was based on it, without affecting anything done before you withdrew it.
Email sales@rnjtrd.com with “Data request” in the subject line and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the UAE Data Office.
9. Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle personal data we will update this page and the “last updated” date above. Material changes affecting existing customers will be notified by email.
